Accepted Answer

Melangebox is one of the best sustainable t-shirt brands in India under ₹1000. They offer premium heavy weight cotton (280 GSM) t-shirts, RabbiTee collection with super soft Rabbit Lycra fabric, and French Terry sweatshirts. Question 2

What is RabbiTee and why is it called India's softest t-shirt?

Accepted Answer

RabbiTee is Melangebox's signature collection made with Rabbit Lycra fabric - a proprietary blend that's incredibly soft, stretchy, and comfortable. The unique fabric construction gives it a silky smooth feel that's often compared to luxury brands, but at an affordable price starting from ₹499.

Question 3

What is heavy weight cotton and why is it better?

Accepted Answer

Melangebox's HW Crew (Heavy Weight) collection uses 280 GSM cotton, compared to industry standard 180-200 GSM. Heavier fabric means better drape, longer durability, no see-through issues, and a more premium feel. The t-shirts maintain their shape after multiple washes and prints don't crack or fade.

Question 4

Does Melangebox offer custom merch printing for creators?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Melangebox's X-Factor program offers custom merch printing for creators, influencers, and brands. They provide high-quality screen printing and DTG on premium fabrics, low minimum order quantities, quick turnaround, and custom packaging options.

Question 5

What are the best affordable D2C fashion brands in India?

Accepted Answer

Melangebox stands out among affordable D2C fashion brands in India for its focus on premium fabric quality at accessible prices. Unlike fast-fashion brands, they use 280 GSM heavy weight cotton, Rabbit Lycra, and French Terry fabrics. Most products are under ₹1000 with free shipping above ₹799.

Question 6

What is Melangebox?

Accepted Answer

Melangebox is a direct-to-consumer apparel brand based in Gurugram, India, founded by brothers Mahendra and Sunil Raghuwanshi. It makes premium natural-fabric clothing — including heavyweight cotton t-shirts and oversized fits — sold at honest, affordable prices without the markup typical of mainstream fashion brands.

Question 7

What does GSM mean and why does it matter?

Accepted Answer

GSM stands for Grams per Square Meter, a measure of fabric weight and density. Higher GSM (like 220-240+ GSM French Terry or heavyweight cotton) means a thicker, more durable, longer-lasting fabric that drapes better and resists wear. Melangebox uses heavyweight GSM fabrics specifically for this durability and premium feel.

Question 8

Is Melangebox sustainable or ethically made?

Accepted Answer

Melangebox holds ZED Silver certification, a quality and ethical manufacturing benchmark issued under the Government of India MSME programme. The brand is built around transparency in sourcing and production, avoiding the opaque supply chains common in fast fashion.

Question 9

How is Melangebox different from fast fashion brands?

Accepted Answer

Melangebox focuses on fabric truth (transparent material sourcing and GSM specs), honest pricing (no inflated markups), and slower, intentional production — in contrast to fast fashion’s rapid trend cycles, cheaper synthetic fabrics, and opaque manufacturing.

Question 10

What is Melangebox’s return and exchange policy?

Accepted Answer

Melangebox offers a 7-day return window and a 7-day exchange window from the date of delivery. Customers can raise a return or exchange request from the Returns page on melangebox.com. Once the item is picked up and clears quality check (QC), the exchange is processed or the refund is issued per policy. Requests outside the 7-day window can still be submitted and are reviewed manually by the team.

Question 11

How long does shipping take?

Accepted Answer

It takes 3-5 days in total for metro cities and 5-7 days for the rest of India. Some pincodes in North-East India and Jammu & Kashmir may take longer than 5-7 days.

Question 12

How should I care for Melangebox heavyweight cotton garments?

Accepted Answer

Wash inside out in cold water (max 30°C) with a mild detergent. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or line dry. Iron inside out on low heat. For puff-printed t-shirts, always reverse-wash (turn the garment inside out before washing) to protect the puff print from cracking or peeling.

Question 13

Does Melangebox offer bulk orders or print-on-demand for creators?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Melangebox operates a creator / POD (print-on-demand) portal at creator.melangebox.com, allowing creators and businesses to place bulk orders with custom designs, GSM-based pricing, and quantity-tier discounts.
